This community means so much to me and my family. I was 10 years old when my parents went through their walks. I remember sitting at Closing when my dad went through, ready to hug him again because even at that age, 3 days away from him was too long. A few years later, the time came for each of my older siblings to attend, but I was still too young. I waited, what felt like forever, for 5 years for my time to come and I was SO ready to go. Even though I hadn’t been through yet, I felt like I was a part of this community. The seemingly “random” people I met through my parents and siblings showed me true agape love way back then, and I was inspired to get to know God on a deeper level. Long story short.. right ?!

I ended up going on my flight in 2019 and learned how I was fully known AND fully loved by God, that He made me for a purpose, and that He empowers me through His Holy Spirit. Since then, I have been able to sponsor many of my friends. So, when I was asked, I said yes to serving on the board because this community is very close to my heart. Through this community, God has transformed me and given me opportunities to grow my faith, step out of my comfort zone, and use my life for His purpose!
