Who we are

Walk to Grace of the Cumberlands is a powerful three-day spiritual journey designed to deepen and strengthen your relationship with Jesus Christ. Rooted in prayer, fellowship and grace-filled teaching, the Walk is a time of renewal and reflection that strengthens the faith of Christian leaders from all denominations.

Each Grace weekend is built on the foundational truths of God’s love, the power of Christian community and the call to live out our faith in everyday life. Whether you are a traveler preparing for your first journey or a sponsor looking to serve, we welcome you into a movement that continues long after the weekend ends.

These weekends are held in the heart of middle TN just south of the majestic, Center Hill Lake in Smithville, Tennessee.

Our Statement of Faith

Written by The Covenant Circle, this statement reflects the core biblical beliefs that guide our Walk to Grace community. Rooted in Scripture and committed to truth, it serves as the foundation for our teaching, fellowship, and mission.

  • The Bible is God’s perfect and true Word. It’s our guide for life and what we believe.

    2 Tim 3:16-17

    2 Pet 1:21

  • God the Father is the Creator of all things. He is holy, loving, and eternal, and we can know Him personally as our Father.

    Gen 1:1

    Matt 6:9

    1 John 4:8

  • Jesus is God’s Son. Born of a virgin, He lived a sinless life, dies for our sins, rose again, and is the only way to the Father.

    John 1:1-14

    John 14:6

    1 Cor 15:3-4

  • Holy Spirit is God’s Spirit given to all who believe. He guides, comforts, empowers, and fill us to live like Jesus and use spiritual gifts.

    John 14:26

    Acts 1:8

    Gal 5:22-23

  • We are saved by God’s grace through faith in Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection - not by our own works.

    Eph 2:8-9

    Romans 10:9-10

  • We must turn away from sin and follow Jesus. Repentance allows us to receive God’s forgiveness and new life.

    Acts 3:19

    1 John 1:9

  • Marriage was created by God to be between one man and one woman. It is the foundation (or nucleus) of the family, the first and greatest institution on earth, and it reflects Christ’s love for the Church. Marriage is under attack in today’s culture, but we affirm it as holy, sacred, and essential to God’s design.

    Gen 2:24

    Matt 19:4-6

    Eph 5:31-33

    Ps 139:13-16

  • We believe that all sexual activity is designed by God to be expressed only within the covenant of marriage between a man and a woman. Any sexual activity outside of God’s design is sin and falls short of His plan.

    1 Cor 6:9-11

    Romans 1:24-27

    Heb 13:4

  • We believe God created two genders: male and female. These are sacred and assigned by our Creator at birth. Our identity is not self-determined but God-given, and we honor and embrace His design for our lives.

    Gen 1:27

    Ps 139:13-16

    Jer 1:5

    Mark 10:6

  • God’s family - all who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We are united by Holy Spirit to serve and share Jesus with the world.

    Eph 2:19-22

    John 17:20-23

  • Holy Spirit empowers us for ministry and to walk in God’s character through the fruit of the Spirit. Spiritual gifts build up the Church as we minister to one another and reach the lost with the gospel.

    Acts 2:4

    1 Cor 12:4-11

    Eph 5:18

  • The ongoing spiritual transformation in which believers are progressively shaped into the image of Jesus through the power of Holy Spirit. Guided by God’s Spirit and His Word, we grow daily to be more like Christ. This lifelong journey leads us toward holiness as we become more like Jesus in character and conduct.

    1 Thess 4:3

    Romans 12:1-2

  • Those who have accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior will live forever with Him in Heaven. Those who reject Him will face eternal separation from God in Hell.

    John 14:2-3

    Matt 25:41, 46

    Rev 20:12-15

  • Jesus will return visibly to set up His eternal kingdom. We live ready for His return at any time.

    Acts 1:11

    Matt 24:44

    Rev 1:7
